This year, our Christmas stockings will be home made….by me! 😀  Kevin, the kids and I went to Joann’s recently and picked out the fabric that we want for our stockings. While I’m not a total newbie at the sewing machine, I’ve never used this pattern so it makes me nervous(I’m always nervous trying new patterns). I will be making the long striped stockings. I’m really really excited to get started on them. I’ve only got a couple months to make 6(one for Missy too!). Here is our fabric that we picked out.

Three colors for Kevin’s stocking

Three colors for my stocking

Three colors for the kids stocking

As soon as I’m done with one, I’ll post it here.

What do your Christmas stockings look like?

As a Christian, I believe it is so important to share Jesus and the love of Christ with others. As a parent, I think it’s so important to teach our children this too! Kevin and I have been brainstorming to come up with ideas on how we can teach our children to serve others. Here are a few ideas we had.

Operation Christmas Child is such and easy, powerful way to minister to children all around the world! I am so excited to teach our children how to share God’s love.

What things do you and your family do to serve others around the holidays?
