Busy Busy January 30, 2010

I think this is the longest I’ve even gone without posting! We have been busy. Our tax return came in and we paid all our debt!!!! 😀  I’m so excited about this! It feels so good not to have to think about it anymore. And after the debt was paid off, we did a little shopping. It has been a nice weekend.

Kevin is gone right now to get Jackson and Kaylynn’s bunkbed. They are so excited about it and so am I. Carsyn has been in our room in the pack-n-play so I’m ready to get her in the crib! I’ll get some pics posted as soon as he comes home and we get them set up! 🙂

Fo Shizzle January 26, 2010

I took the kids to the Commissary today. I don’t go out very often by myself because I just don’t have enough arms to take care of everyone. Well, we made it through the Commissary and I was feeling brave so I asked the kids if they wanted to grab a bite to eat while we were there. So we walked to Popeye’s and I got all their food ordered. We made it to the table and I got them settled and then I sat down…but only for about 4 minutes before Kaylynn said, “Mommy, I need to go potty.” My heart sank. This is exactly what I was afraid of. I was being too ambitious and it was coming back to bite me in the butt. If Kevin was here, I would just let him take her. So, I tried to make her wait but I could tell she really had to go. So I put Jackson in the buggy with his chicken so he didn’t freak out thinking I wasn’t going to feed him. Then I got the other food bagged back up and put it in the buggy. Then the drinks went in the buggy and off we went to the bathroom. I’m not really sure if the buggy could go in the bathroom but it did today. I parked it as close to the door as possible while still being able to see Carsyn and Jack. Finally we get back to the table and get all the food passed back out to everyone. Carsyn is starting to get fussy so I get her out of her seat and hold her while trying to eat. Everything is going great and I’m thinking, “I’m really doing this!” As I’m getting everything cleaned up, Carsyn is still fussing so I can’t put her down. Well, trying to be the supermom that I am, I shoved a bunch of stuff in the bag at once along with two drinks. I’m almost to the garbage can and the drinks spill everywhere! It was a lovely scene! We finally get out of there and I was ready to go home. So, even on a good day, I just need more arms than I have.

While we were eating supper, Kaylynn was telling Kevin about lunch. He asked her if her chicken was good and she said, “Fo Shizzle.” LOL! I’m not sure where she heard that but it totally cracked us up!

Chocolate fondue is calling my name so I must part till next time! 😀
